I Am In Love With A Man Named Marc

So lets get personal..



I am in LOVE with a man named Marc.. Th only Marc worth mentioning in fashion, Marc Jacobs, OBVZ!!

From his 1920's Asian fusion inspired collection, to the sugary sweet collection both at Louis Vuitton, Marc has really proved that he is a fashionable force to be reckoned with.. not like that needed proving though!!



In my first year of fashion school, my lecturer said that if you want to be commercial and sell your products, you have to think along the lines of Marc Jacobs, thus he has become my inspiration and current obsession!!



I think what is SO fab about Marc, is that with his two separate labels (the Marc Jacobs line and his creative direction at Louis Vuitton), he has total creative freedom, to do whatever he likes, get inspired by something completely different each season, yet the two collections never intertwine or collide, both have their own creative edge that makes them unique!



I credit Marc Jacobs for introducing the public to the fetish trend. Yes, Riccardo Tisci had been doing it for MANY seasons at Givenchy, Jacobs gave it that approachable and commercial feel, which landed the Fall/Winter 2012 collection on literally almost every cover!!



What I also admire about Jacobs is his strong sense of sexuality. Marc has stripped down for an LV campaign, cross-dressed in the most adorbz Prada outfit ever and let us not forget the MOST AMAZE campaign poster for his menswear cologne, Bang!!



He's a creative genius from his designs to choice of models.. He's everything!!

So remember that time when Mrs. Lisbane found Lux's underwear, and had Kevin Hain's name (the gargbage man.. eww) written all over it.. Well I did the same, in dedicaion to my one true love Marc Jacobs!!

Strange Magic

Recently discovered the AH-MAH-ZING-LY AMAZE world of German fashion icon Bonnie Strange.



Bonnie Strange is a photographer. Bonnie Strange is a fashion icon. Bonnie Strange is my new lover!! I cant even express how obsessed I am with her style and photographs!! She's everything.. LITERALLY!!



Strange has that whole Debbie Harry/Madonna circa 80's/glam rock vibe going.. Which KILLS me!!



I DIE for her pop art influenced photographs. As for her look, Strange loves to change it up from time to time, rocking an organge frock recently.. TDF = TO DIE FOR!! Her fashion choices are SO fun, quirky and bizarre!!



She's currently starting a band called Bonnie Strange and the Lovers, with 6 gay guys.. I personally think she's talking me!!

Her looks are sometimes seemingly SO outlandish that it's like MAGIC! You dont believe it can be pulled off, yet she does, and it's AMAZING!! She has that Strange Magic!!



P.s I hope one day we'll be BFF's, like her and Peter, and that she'd braid my hair, slap me and call me a BETCH from time to time.. what a PURFECT world that would be!!
